Foggy Cedar Swamp

On the very edge of Franklin Parker Preserve, a cedar and pitch pine swamp takes its plot. Atlantic white cedar trees are mostly found near the swamps. Dead cedar carcasses remain and then may fall over. When thousands of acres of pitch pine get interrupted by a swamp, the mixed pitch and cedar cover the surrounding area. Plenty of patchy islands with shrubs and grasses are typical for these swamps.
