The northern bayberry is a flowering plant that focuses on vertical growth. It prefers acidic, sandy soil and produces berries that are commonly consumed by deer. Photo was taken in August of 2024.

The dwarf huckleberry usually grows to be 2-3 feet but in some cases it can grow much higher.

The blue huckleberry (or dangleberry) is a lot larger and bushier than the dwarf huckleberry. It also tends to yeild more berries.
